Project Manager IT / web development – full time - The Hague - the Netherlands

Make it mean something more: we offer you a unique global opportunity to manage the IT delivery of new education project initiatives. A dynamic role in which you combine your professional project management skills and IT knowledge to provide crucial education services to our stakeholders and vendors; thus contributing to our mission to create a better world through international education.

The IT department of the International Baccalaureate®
Our IT department delivers flexible and reliable IT services globally to all our stakeholders. It is their aim to enhance community experience and improve efficiency, while ensuring scalable and cost-effective solutions for the IB.

A high-profile role for our organization: the impact you’ll make as a Project Manager
You are responsible for the overall IT delivery of new project initiatives. One of your biggest challenges is implementing and maintaining our content management system. You will be the main point of contact for all IT activities and deliverables of web-based projects: you will handle issues, requests and changes of business stakeholders, IT teams and the vendors, together with the vendor. In addition, you are responsible for operations management and vendor management.

To produce the required IT deliverables to accomplish projects, you will coordinate various IT teams. One of your goals is to ensure that the service agreement, contractual deliverables and operational readiness for BAU support is met, covering the complete range of processes and activities associated with ITIL based Service Transition.

You aim to do more by:
  • coordinating the project planning of all aspects of IT deliverables, including product-based planning, task identification and resource allocation, dependency mapping, levelling and utilization analysis, and tracking, monitoring and reporting the relevant stages of project plans;
  • managing the design, development, UAT, support, GO Live and setup of BAU support for our IB websites;
  • guiding ITIL-based Service Transition activities, from ensuring the project deliverables are in place to negotiating vendor support contracts and support preparations;
  • providing support in driving the monthly service review meetings with vendors;
  • assisting the business team in managing changes in accordance with our IB Enterprise Change Management Policy.

Are you ready to be globally challenged? This is the IT talent we are looking for.
To successfully deliver our mission, we are seeking the best talent with an international mindset. We need you to be motivated and engaged, and have the required expertise, technical skills and behavioral qualities to support a variety of stakeholders. You are highly organized, can easily multitask and have great interpersonal skills. Solving problems effectively is one of your qualities, supported by a strong analytical mindset. Due to your advanced communication skills and contract management knowledge, you can easily negotiate with different parties.

You can tick all the following boxes:
  • At least 6 years of full lifecycle IT project management experience
  • An ITIL® Practitioner certificate
  • Good working knowledge of MS Project or equivalent PM tools
  • Experience in delivering web projects based on technologies such as FormAssembly, HTML 5, WordPress, eXist-b, Episerver, Power BI and SharePoint
  • Excellent skills in reporting and project management

Your career at IB
Education does not stop with the students, it continues across our organization through our commitment to the growth and development of our employees. We will provide you with learning and development that complies with the highest quality standards set by the ANSI, and enable you to acquire CEU’s on designated courses, professional licenses and accreditations.

We encourage you to take personal responsibility for your own development, outside the opportunities we provide, to continue your own personal and professional growth.

We offer you:
  • A one-year contract with the intent of renewal
  • 25 days of annual leave, travel reimbursement, and a percentage of your salary can be spent on flex benefits such as additional days off, a bicycle plan, gym membership or pension plan
  • The opportunity to work in a truly exciting global organization that balances academic rigor with a professional focus and passion for innovative educational products
  • The ability to make a real difference in international education with professional colleagues all over the world
  • A learning organization that places an emphasis on leadership and collaboration
